What is the May Month Meaning?

May is the fifth month of the year on the Gregorian calendar and one of the seven months which contains 31 days. It is the third month within the northern season of spring. The name May comes from the Greek goddess Maya who was the goddess of earth and fertility. Her festival Bona Dea was held in May. According to the Roman poet Ovid, the name of the month may also be linked to the Latin term maiores which means elders.

Movie Mondays - Finding Major Donors Through a Planned Giving Program

 

Sally's organization was looking for Major Donors.

 

Lo and behold, she found some hiding in the midst of their planned giving donors.

 

In today's video, Sally Brunette from the Seattle Humane Society will tell you how they found and engaged their new Major Donors.

 

In part two of today's video, Robin Callahan - who's the Executive Director of the Issaquah Schools Foundation - will tell you how they were able to start their planned giving program. Like many organizations, starting a planned giving program seemed a bit daunting, especially with virtually no staff. She'll show you how simple it is to start one.

In response to the question in the title I can report that most of my readers are. Almost everyone got the point of the last column. They see the absurdity of the government’s claim that the identity of the tough, macho Navy Seals, who allegedly murdered Osama bin Laden, has to be kept secret in order to protect our fierce warriors from reprisals from  Muslim terrorists, while those government officials responsible for the torture and deaths of large numbers of Muslims can walk around, identity known, unprotected and safe.
